We are working on two key projects for community development that need initial funding to launch:
1. **New Daycare Facility**: In partnership with a local provider, we will offer much-needed childcare for preschool-aged children on Elbow Cay.
2. **Ice Cream and Take-Out Shop**: “Scoopalicious” will be a gathering spot for locals and visitors, supporting events like movie nights and community meetings.
Our Community Center provides various programs, including a Christmas play with over 60 children, acrobatics, dance classes, health initiatives, and arts programs, mostly for free. However, our gym and rental programs don't generate enough revenue to sustain the Center. We need to raise $20,000 for necessary renovations.

PERC, Inc. ((Preservation – Environment – Recreation – Community) enables U.S. taxpayers to make tax-deductible gifts to charities and community organizations in Abaco, Bahamas. It is a not-for-profit U.S. corporation and a registered 501(c)(3) charity, EIN 65-0870592. and receive a tax-deductible receipt. PERC will accept donations from any U.S. person or corporation.
Donors can identify 'St. James Methodist Church, Hope Town' as a preferred charity and then specify that the funds are to go the St. James Community Center. The minimum donation per charity that may be made via PERC is $250.00. St. James is registered with PERC as a qualified charity.
Donations are made to PERC (see below), and the funds are mailed by PERC via a check to the Treasurer, St. James Methodist Church, Hope Town.
